The work

Strength training is not just about the workout. It is about building long-term sustainability, confidence, and resilience — the kind that shows up on the days nobody is watching.

I found my way into fitness through the people I met in the gym, and six-plus years later I coach clients of all ages and abilities out of Glencoe — group fitness and one-on-one, in person and online.

In practice that means proper form before load, progression you can actually feel, and strength that shows up outside the gym — carrying a toddler, getting off the floor, standing up to a long day.

I’m certified through ACE in pre- and postnatal fitness and hold a P.C.E.S. specialization in pregnancy and postpartum core work, so the seasons where training gets complicated are the ones I know best.

We aren’t about perfection but progress.

Training

Three waysI work withclients.

01

Strength Training

Barbell, dumbbell, and machine work built around how you actually move.

Progressive programming that treats strength as a long game — squat, hinge, push, pull, carry. Proper form before load, every time, so the weight keeps climbing without the wear.

  • Movement screen & baseline
  • Progression you can feel
  • Form-first coaching
02

Prenatal Training

Staying strong through all three trimesters, with the right modifications.

Training does not stop at a positive test — it changes shape. As a certified pre- and postnatal specialist I work on core and pelvic floor awareness, breathing mechanics, and the strength that carries you through labor and the months after.

  • Trimester-specific programming
  • Pelvic floor & breathing
  • Cleared-by-your-provider approach
03

Postnatal Training

Rebuilding from the inside out, at the pace your body sets.

Return to training with a plan instead of a guess. We start with core and pelvic floor reconnection, then layer back strength, capacity, and confidence — with real life, recovery, and a newborn accounted for.

  • Return-to-training runway
  • Core & pelvic floor rebuild
  • Realistic scheduling

Pre- and postnatal programming follows your provider’s clearance and guidance. Always train with your OB or midwife in the loop.

Approach

How the workgets done.

  1. 01

    Form before load

The movement gets built first. Weight is added once the pattern holds — that is what keeps progress from stalling six months in.

  2. 02

    Strength is the base

Whatever the goal, the answer usually starts with getting stronger. Everything else is built on top of it.

  3. 03

    Train the season you’re in

Pregnancy, postpartum, and everything after each ask for something different. The program moves when you do.

  4. 04

    Progress, not perfection

The best session is the one you can repeat next week. We build a plan that survives a real schedule.
